Welcome to the 300 Club Water Aerobics

The 300 Club Water Aerobics class is for both women and men of all ages, and meets every Monday and Friday from 11 am till 12 noon. Exercising in the water not only supports the body and reduces your chance of muscle and joint injury making it a low impact sport, but it also offers resistance for muscle improvement. Less stress on your joints while stretching allows for greater range of motion. Water exercising also decreases overheating, since your body is continually being cooled by the flow of water over your skin. Tension is relieved and your physical and mental health are improved.
You do not have to be a strong swimmer to participate, however, please inform Meegan if you cannot swim well. A swimming belt or PDF can be used during the class, if you are not a strong swimmer or need extra buoyancy due to injury.
The class consists of a variety of exercises, including running in place, jumping jacks, water walking, arm and leg exercises, the use of a noodle, and stretching, that eventually will task the entire body for a well rounded workout.
Equipment needed:
A swimsuit
Sun hat
Sunglasses
Sunscreen*
Water shoes - optional
Swimming shirts - optional
*If you use sunscreen, please apply at home, 30 minutes before the class to allow the sunscreen to penetrate and protect the skin.
The class meets year round. Come and enjoy a great workout and keep fit all winter. Men and women are encouraged to join in. We have a great group! Please be a part of it.
